Wellcraft seems to be weird on the hook in the hull. I have a 29 without any hook but my friend's 29 has the hook . Both are twin small blocks , weird. I have a 22 at my shop and looked and there is no hook , single bb/bravo setup. Runs 65-68 and likes a little chop to get some air under it. You'll still be slowing for most boat wakes! Nice little boat for the back bays and lakes.
