Boat looks great, it should have a 50-55 easy cruise speed and take pretty much whatever you throw at it. I'm diggin it.

That's about what we cruised at a couple times when we ran together.

70-71 sounds a couple slow...My Scarab ran that fast and Jamie could pull me so he was at least a couple faster. 73-75???

Bern,
With the extension boxeson the 353, it will feel and drive like a boat even bigger than a 35'. I really like the 353, and we almost bought a 2001 NEW left over, just couldn't get the deal done!
I say go for the 353, and play with the motors. We have 502 MPIs in the Nordic, they start everytime, run flawlessly with a top speed of 80.1 mph, and get good MPG. Although, they will be coming out this winter, to make room for the HP500s that will be going in, after they get "Massaged" little bit!

I really like that paint...I looked at a 382 with the same colors. Forgot it has extension boxes. They should help you get into the low-mid 70's.

im excited...my last v bottom was a 29 scarab with twin 350 mags and bravos. ran my 30 spectre outboard cat for 2 seasons and am actually looking forwards to a lil more of a pleasure boat. loved my spectre but cruised at 80, best was 107 and was actually more or a race boat then a pleasure boat...hoping to take delivery of the 353 by the weekend...thanks again to all
