Default Ginos story of the day! This one hurt!

Last week I sold a very expensive watch. I sold it to a guy in Miami. We went to his bank and got a cashiers check. Later on that day I checked my email and had one from him. He said he didn't want the watch, we had to talk . The first thing I thought of was him stopping the cashiers check. I went a local branch of his bank, Bank of America, and opened a checking account and deposited the check. This way it would clear instantly. I didn't want to be without the watch and the money. I spoke to the guy with the watch, which happens to be very nice and he said his wife said it was too fancy. He asked if I would try to sell it on Ebay for him. I agreed. A week goes by, it hadn't sold so he asked if i would buy it back for $3500 less.I really didn't want to but if he was willing to sell it for less, I figured I would take it and try to resell it. I agreed and did the deal yesterday. Today I was doing some banking stuff and went on to that account online. The balance was $15,800 less then there should be. I called tha bank. listen to this.
Back in late 2000 I traded in my 30' Spectre for my Motion to a place in NY called Boathouse. They all ended up going to jail for fraud. They were doing 2 and 3 loans on boats and pocketing the money. I had to fight with them for months to pay off the boat. They neber paid off the motors which were financed seperate from the boat. Years back I spoke with the district attourny on this. It was one of the issues they were in trouble for. I have all the documention that they took everything on trade and were to pay everything off. It has been 4 years since I have heard a word about this deal. Guess what, The bank the motors were financed through is the same bank I just opened this account with and they took the $15,800 they never got from Boathouse. I just spoke to my attourney and he said we have a huge problem. Even though Boathouse was supposed to pay it off, the loan was in my name and comes back to being my resposability. I have a fight ahead of me becausemy problem is not with the bank it's with Boat house which is gone!!

Anybody want to buy a watch?

Gino,
I hope that black cloud stops following you around!
I would told the guy to sell the watch himself!

I really don't have anything to say other than a simply...... "Wow "

Is someone trying to tell you something, Gino? Sounds like you are getting stronger and stronger messages regarding "something" you are not getting!

I was going to say.... "Hope to see you in Lauderdale" - but, I'm now reconsidering that thought!!!!

Good luck.... Boy do you need some!!

P.S. Keep an eye on your credit report! I'd bet that's next for BofA.

I looked at a watch just like that in Boca about a year ago Gino. It's a beautiful piece. Problem is someone really will cut your arm for it.

It never showed up on my credit from the begining. The boat house deal was like the National marine deal only on a smaller scale. I really thought it was over. It's scary how your money can be taken from your bank account with no warning. My attornry said I should have followed up on it years ago. I assumed it was handled. You know what they say about assuming!!
