The same house is in escrow with another agent, so she may not have got the comish! Listed at a much more reasonable $9.5 mil......

Unfortunatly, a mil wont get you much on the water around there or s.fl these days. A house on that river with only 37 ft on the water, no deep water dockage, house built in the 40s, went for 1.6 mil a couple years ago. A lot of new yorkers with second homes in that area.

Lots of famous and not so famous people on that road. Not sure if Sharkey's pic was his house, it was much higher on the hill. Think that house belongs to a "paving" family. Was in Bon Jovi's house when it was under construction. He wanted a dock & boat lift. Had problems with the EPA, they wouldn't let him build a dock. Found an old areal photo form the 40's that showed a doc and he was able to put a dock back in the same place.
Did a boat lift at Richie Sambora's house on the Shrewsbury years ago, all I could think about as I sat at his bar with the leather padded arm rest is how many times Heather got banged on it.

He and George were kicking themselves for not buying the house between them. Each thought the other was going to do it. Then John G bought it for $750K, tore the house down and put up the new one. He also just bought a house in MB for a few mil where the old ice house and marina used to be.
The property he (John M) owns on Rumson Rd isn't bad either, gives him a nice "little" place to keep the ponies, he didn't need to knock anything down there. Prop is damn near a 1/4 mile in each direction. He kept the painted ponies there, too bad he didn't bring in a few buffalo from his herd in VA. Was afraid what would happen if a few got through the fence.

That strip of land is the best around, great view of the ocean and NYC yet you have the river for your boats. Only problem is the EPA really restricts what you can do there. No way I could build the marina like I have in my back yard now. Just think, I could report how many times Panther passes in the river

Here's boater friendly for those that need space. 12,000 sq ft on 5 acres http://www.realtor.com/FindHome/Home...9&lnksrc=00002

I too thought it was higher up and not on the end of a cul de sac as shown in the aerial image you provided.

So how about a panoramic view? Now you can point out which one it is...
Pics are from right to left starting from the west side of the bridge.
