Re: Old Miami Vice race clip... Anyone 'we' know?
Any and all connection with "The Great McCarthy" episode is purely coincidental.......I have no idea how they came up with this character!!
If it happened today, I would say Ratman put them up to it. Charlie McCarthy |

That's funny stuff. Helmets unbuckled , talking on the phone , no life jackets , - sure that wasn't a poker run? HAHA.

Yet another Vice fan here when I was a kid; I was 13-14 yrs old when it first came out. The Voices clip still gives me chills.
Man, those clips bring back the good ol' days...no speed zones, running down the port. I grew up close to the Bay...about the only thing I miss about Miami is being able to hear the offshores running...sometimes in the middle of the night...:D I finally bought my first offshore last month (Formula 311)...I still can't believe it... Thanks, Michael |

I saw that episode a few months ago and I remember Don Johnson saying "I just had my mechanic install bigger turbos for the race".
Turbos? Years ago my roommate and I used to religiously watch Miami Vice. Kinda looked like Joey and Chandler on Friends. Two lazy boy recliners with a bucket of ice and beer on the table in between. I still to this day love watching that boat jump out of the water in the begining with the theme song playing. I too said one day I'll own an offshore boat. :D |

I was a huge Vice fan and still enjoy watching it today!!! My cell ringer is the Crockett theme.
Trivia: my current fav. show is Deadwood and Al Swearengen has got to be one of the best TV charactors since Hommer and Crockett. Ian McShane (Al) was in the Vice final episode as General Borbon. He also appeared in Season 3........... |
