Oregon Iron Works made the Sealions, but that is not what that thing is. They do some pretty wild stuff so it may be their's also.

It's a Naval recovery vessel, or a special ops intrusion vessel, or an offshore remote patrol vessel, or just an interesting boat.
It's basically 100' X 50' and was designed by a man in Emeryville, CA (Berkeley) to be a stable platform for rough water conditions. Where it should be tested to show its metal so to speak is at the mouth of the Columbia river. One of the most dangerous US water ways.
The vessel was modeled in a 40' X 20' version with an outboard and the video's of it running were pretty impressive. So they received funding for the larger verison and had it built in about one year.
The center boat so to speak is suppose to be an actual boat that is craned into place and used as the command center. Kind of a drive your boat to work concept.
Powered by twin cummins 450 I believe and an in line ASD8 drive unit with Rolla propellers.
Target speed of 40 knots.

Is that pod in the middle big enough to be a troop carrier?? High enough to keep clear of heavy seas then maybe the legs will lower to drop the pod into the water below - or a winch system can lower the pod from above?? Would the sponsons be man enough to handle big seas??

UFO - Unidentified Floating Object that is commanded by sea creatures as yet unknown to man...
... uhhh, except the dock hands that helped tie them up, but they teleported theim aboard and were performing a very involved procedure in which they probe there bodies with pins at the very momoent the pictures were taken. Prior to being released their brains will be "washed" with a pink or blue light and they will have no recollection of the encounter.
Ooooooo, scary!!
Really, cool boat!!
