I have found in the Fountain ads in magazines and there website plus there test report that come with each boat to be pretty darn accurate. Actually after the engine is broke in with around 100hrs I can do better than the test report with much more fuel on board.

The add is useless as it does not tell me what I can expect in a 'real world' situation. Nice to know I can run 103 just before I run out of fuel and lean out my motors.

If you have any experience in offshore, I would think you know the answer.

If not maybe this can help. Subtract about 5mph.

The disclaimer's for dummies, who believe everything they read. Its like the small print on legal documents, or the "4 hour warning" on your Viagra label.
