Mounting Dry Sump Tanks on the Motors ??
Why don't the marine engine builders mount the dry sump tanks to the motors like drag cars??? It would make everything all self contained ,Especially when changing motors or when dynoing them???

the car guys do it cause they have no room the boats have room and you keep the vibrations off the tanks and the heat away from the oil supply

Beyond all the other very valid points alrerady posted...
Most are aluminum- aluminum work hardens (vibrations) and they would be very vulnerable to cracking.
