i can't help you there, I have driven or ridden in almost every 39 quattro that left the factory, and They all run in the high 90's with 525's. You could have been on a boat with different props, there were a few owners trying new props to try and get out of the hole quicker, but sacrificed top end?????

The price of both boats is also closer than most people here would like to admit. They will price out within 10 grand of each other, and the OL offers more standard equipment, that cigarette will make you pay for.

96 w/525's for OL about 7 less for Cig

Animal House,
I understand and respect your allegiance to OL. I also like the 39 Quattro and am currently entertaining owning one. But,... to say the OL is superior in all aspects is incorrect. It all depends what you are looking for. I know some Cig guys that have ridden in the 39 Quattro and did not like it at all. They preferred the handling and ride of the Cig. I also know some OL guys that have ridden in the Cig and were not impressed. It is all what you like and personal preference. Is the OL superior in top speed and cabin space ? Yes. But all aspects, I think not.

Don't shy away from Donzi there new ZRs are one of the best riding, rough water boats out there, they are well balanced and run strong we ran the Sarasota Poker Run in a 38ZR that is almost 39ft in length and we ran 104 mph strong 4 people full fuel and gear.

That new 39 Cig sure is nice, especially since you can stagger now! The 39 OL is nice too! Like the classic lines of the Cig but would have to warm up to the rounded styling of the OL.

I guess I'd have to test ride both of them for a day and spend some time to do some pro's vs. con's analysis! Then spend the next couple years putting the funds together to buy one but by then I bet there will be something different! :D

I've read some post's on here by guys saying I was not impressed with the OL or other guys saying I was not impressed with the Cig and so on and so forth.

I call B S!

How could any of you even say that the ride and craftsmanship of either of these boats in not impressive? I have been on both these boats at boat shows and found with one highly impressive and would be proud to own either! There are some differance here and there with these boats and it really comes down to personal preferance.

Bottom line, quality of both boats is top notch. I you want to be able to say "I have a Cigarette", buy a cigarette. If performance is more important buy the OL. Personally I like the Outerlimits, people keep saying the Cig has "Classic Lines" in reality they're "Outdated Lines". You'll be happy with either boat most definately though.
