Default Mach1 Project

Hi everyone.Im 16 and im helpin my dad fix our Mach1.I look for all the parts etc...and he finances the STUFF. Well I need some suggestions on this boat and I have a few questions:
In the photo of the dash, where the switches are located, can the aluminum be painted black?
Next question: Anyone know where i can a new or used throttle that looks like the one in the pics?
I also need sugestions on what paintjob we should get.I want something nice but I dont need a paint job with all the crayola colors on it.My budget is about 4k so any suggestions would be helpful.
I am also looking for a pair of bolsters used or new in good condition. Thanks,Paul.

pull them off and clean them with something to remove all the oils and wax, then spray a promoter to help the paint stick as is (bulldog).you can spray small parts with aerosol cans if done rite it will turn out just fine.

You might be able to find some one to powder coat them fairly cheap,if you can that would be the way to go.

Probably not without a hefty investment. Just paint them or have them painted. Any auto body shop should be able to paint them for you with good results. Just find a shop and ask them to spray them the next time they are spraying a black car. You could also take them to a sign shop and them covered in vinyl.

I would think it would be cheaper (or very close) to have them powdercoated vs painted by a body shop since they usually have a min. charge for materials, unless they can shoot them the same color as a current car being painted.
