Inside winter storage rates?

I am wondering what the average going rates for indoor boat staorage is. In particular in the Chicago, Wisconsin area. Is it so many cents per square foot, or just by boat and trailer length? How much does the average boater pay for inside storage?

Thank you!
Dena

Hi, Dena not sure about the Chicago land area but in Houston it will range from 3 - 10 bucks or more a foot per month. Some are full service, ie. they will put your boat in the water etc. others are just storage. Good Luck and welcome to the site :D

i own approx. 10,000 sq.ft. of storage. i rent spaces for boats, RV's, autos, etc. i usually charge anywhere from $1.50-$2.00/ft for indoor storage. depends on the size and length of stay. i also charge a little more if you want 24/7 access to it.

hope this helps........

I guess living out in the country pays off :)

I have a guy who has a very nice pole barn on his farm that houses my boat along with about 3 others. The pole barn is accessible anytime I want, concrete floor and very nice guy to deal with. He looks at my boat and says, $ 175.00 PER YEAR from Fall to Spring. :)

And that is for a 28' boat on a trailer.

I pay $50 per month to store my 24' Baja in the caves in Kansas City. Constant 55 degrees all season in a guarded location. Zero humidity so no mildew. Most don't even winterize. When the ice was flyin last week, my boat was toasty warm and dry. :) :)
