I bought the c330 because I didn't need a lot of the extras. The Nuvi line is nice and if you can use the bluetooth, fm modulator, the little car icons also the antennas on the Nuvi are newer and will pick up the sat's faster. I think they also give street name instead of just turn at next street. It just depends on how many frills you want. But I've read enough to believe the garmin line is the best.

Lovin my 660. Very daylight readable, loaded with features and cool widescreen. I think it's worth the extra money. Paid $ 899.00 CAD in Toronto which is about $ 785.00 USD which I think is competitive. Radioworld. They sell online as well.
Good luck.

Been using my demo 660 nuvi since the summer. Love it. Only complaint is fm mod is horrible , not unlike any other new fm mods , damn fcc.Does have a line out / headphone jack. Nav traffic is cool but I live kinda rural and only went off once when I was in vegas , right on the money with the detour around traffic jam. Screen is nicer , wider than the c series street pilots. I sell them for 799 .

I bought a Nuvi and took it back because the audio did not play loud and clear as the C330-550 models. the Nuvi is more portable in your pocket though. I ended up with the C550 because I use the traffic deal that the 330 did not have built in. Great units though.

If anyone is onterested, I have a Pioneer's version available.
I have a Pioneer AVIC-S1 handheld that is brand new never opened, for sale. (I won it) This is Pioneers handheld version of the automotive nav systems. About the same size as the Nuvi.

I'll sell mine for $330.00. . . . .
Retail (who pays that?) is $ 660.00

I have a Pioneer Avic unit in each car, they are GREAT units. IMHO, better than the Garmin (which I also have).

Tony,
I hope you're not worried about getting lost on the lake.
