Also, do the math on ticket sales (a small part of the pie). Super Dome held 75,000 people and tickets were $150. That is $11,250,000. Tickets were selling for between $750 and $1500, so the organisers could EASILY get $500 face value if they wanted. Thats $37.5 million they could get just from ticket sales in a small stadium like the Super Dome. Then there are TV rights, souvenir sales, endorsements...
Yep both schools could REALLY benefit, but that isn't what the NCAA wants.
(My personal opinion it USC backers are fighting it behind the scenes, because they are scared. Go Tigers!!!)
