Hey guys.. this is my first post. Im am 23 from NC about to graduate from college with a manufacturing degree. Im planning on going to boat building school for 2 years starting this fall. Anyways i want to work some where in South Florida when i graduate. I was hoping you Florida guys could help me come up with a list of boat manufacturers in South Florida.. preferably on the east coast in the Miami area, however, anywhere in South Florida will do for a start. This will still be a couple of years away i am just starting to look into locations and possibilities now. Thanks.

Thanks for the welcomes guys. Yes I am familiar with Fountain.. in fact my parents have a place in washingtong right across the street from the plant. They build a nice boat, however; I have always wanted to live in South Florida and I figure I'll enjoy my time there more while I'm young. I have been looking online and so far I have come up with this list:

Cigarette, Dusky, Concept, Midnight express, Contender, Don Smith??, Jaguar, Magnum, Pantera and Monza.

Can anyone think of anymore? Im not really concerned if they manufacture fishing boats. All I want to do is get a job and get my foot in the boat industry and get some experience. After that I will be a little more picky.

Are you thinking just Offshores or would you look at anything? One of the nicest boats that I have ever seen is a Witacar. They are a sport fish that is made in Florida.

I am really open to anything. Like I say it will be a couple of years before I am ready to move but I will be looking at any decent job to get my foot in the door.
