CJ... How does the boat come on plane with the 6 compared to other, how high is the X. Does it walk sideways under acceleration?

Thanks

The boat goes right on plane. The nose is straight up and then it pops level.I have the prop shaft at 11/2 inches below the back of the v.Keep in mind for every 10 inches the prop shaft is moved back go up 1 inch in prop shaft height.

With the Konrad; Does anyone know how fast they have run that gearcase profile? Is there any blowout issues at higher speeds with it? What is the diameter of the gear housing? Is it remote water intake?

Just wondering.

It doesnt crab at all.I started with a 17 inch diameter and went down to a 16.It will probably like a little less diameter.

Thanks again JC.
If you don't mine I have another for you...
As a motor guy, what do you feel is is the most reasonable hp you would put tp a Bravo style drive? This would be a single engine Vee.

Would you feel alright with a catamaran boat 36' with 900 hp each side and Konrad's on it doing 150 mph?

p.s. I really have a problem with Mercury"s pricing on a no. 6.
