remember most of the guys in all the Booths at the show were setting up for the show between Xmas and newyears instead of spending that time with there families..I would Guess due to the Timeing of this show there was limited personal aval .I would probobly say by today things look alot better on the show floor for all the dealers there.IMO I would look beond the detailing Job For the first few days at any show!
2 yrs ago OL had a boat to the Miami Boat show in not so great shape too. Scratches and such. Just goes to show that everyone has their off time.
inexcusable. any dealer I know moves the display boats in and gets them detailed right off knowing that the serious show goer/buyer often is an early bird looking to avoid the crowds.
You can set up easels, literature tables, put down runners and such at your convenience after the hard set-up work is done and the product shows it's best.
The holiday bit is a poor excuse that wouldn't dare fly in the face of a successful business
If you're gonna bring something to a show - it better look the best you can possibly make it. And you better represent it well.
I underestand that this was set up through the holidays, but come'on, this is your boat, and your job.
Take a little pride in your product and represent it well.
The fact that it was "through the holidays set-up" sounds like an excuse that I hear too many " Americans" use these days.
And just that, an "excuse" for poor represantation, and preperation.
Rippem - you beat my by 2 minutes - same feelings exactly!
No excuse. Presentation is speaks volumes, from the product to the salesmen. I can't tell you how many equipment deals we pull from other dealers, just based on product presentation and making the customer feel welcome.
Anyone want to meet up at the show Saturday?
