Hey PhattomChaos,
The boat you are looking at is of three 38 NuEra R&D boats. In 1997 Lavey Craft hired Eddie to come up with 29” Offshore Boat called the new NuEra design. Next was the 40’
and then the 32’. After Eddie past away, I ended up with his Business witch at the time only had one boat on order and some molds. At the time I could not afford to quit my full time job and follow Eddies legacy. So I had no choice but to shut the company down. So sitting on two molds I call Jeff at Lavey. Long story short. I now work for Lavey Craft full time and I get to carry Eddies legacy on. With some new ideas and Eddies platform we now have Gen III bottoms witch at last years Powerboat trials took the Performance award. And now back to the 38’ in question. The mold was 40’ with and insert to make it a 38’. The new model is 39’ EVO “Evolution of NuEra” plus the swim step 41’10” over all. We will not make LA boat show. We are shooting for the Anaheim boat show. Here are some shoots as of today. And for those of you that knew Eddie notice his flag hanging over the project.

Re: Lavey and "Great American Concepts".....what's the connection?
The boat you are all looking at in the classifieds is a 2000 Great American Concepts 38’ NuEra. (Not a Laveycraft). The reason for the advertisement being placed in the Lavey section is for maximum exposure to a like crowd. GAC built 5 38’ NuEra hulls while under the watch of the late great Eddie Morenz. Of the five One is now in Europe powered by diesels, the collagewood group has another that has been customized and is dominating the poker run circuit, a gentleman in California has the white Impaction boat that is used for the Catalina Ski Race (It is his second commissioned 38’NuEra), the forth is the boat you all now see in the classifieds that also has a list of credits in the Catalina Ski race including being the first out of the Queens Gate this past year and now proudly sits on display and for sale twenty feet from my desk in the SmugglersInc showroom, and the fifth will be in my showroom for sale by Wednesday.
For those of you whom have ever met Eddie you would understand the mans gift is boat rigging and design. He could do more with hydrodynamics than a team of Navy architects and this boat is his Swan Song.
I understand that the pictures in the classifieds are sub par for advertising such a boat. I can assure you all that after my photo shoot this week viewing this boat and the company that it attracts will be worth a few days wait. For immediate pictures and information please do not hesitate to contact me directly at 928-846-1100.
Thank you.

Thanks for all that 411 Kevin! So the 200 "stock" boat that Art has......is that the white boat shown above and is now called "Impaction" again? Also....on that "Impaction" photo.....that exhaust on the side of the boat, is that the center engine or the port side?

You may want to plan a Havasu Lavey Run considering that the boat in picture two "See Spot Run" is in my showroom now, I am leaving Silverado, CA. with the boat in picture one "Mere Image" for Havasu at 4:00Am tomarrow, and I am having one of very few 29 Lavey's with twin 500EFI's delivered Thursday AM. All boats will be on display this weekend during the Polar Bear run on Lake Havasu and then by appointment or walk in starting next week at the SmugglersInc showroom.
Kcooper, thank you for the additional information on the first and fifth being 40's. I did not know that.
