Lavey and "Great American Concepts".....what's the connection?
 
Cruising around the clasifieds looking at a friends Lavey for sale and saw this.........pretty darn cool boat with triples!! Why is this under Laveycraft?

Wish they had better pics up.

Great American Concepts or better yet the late Eddie Morenz did alot of tooling for lavey craft hence the nu era series.

The late Eddie Morenz was the owner of Great American Concepts. All of Lavey's Vhull technology is based on his designs. (I think they actually bought the molds from him) Kevin Cooper who is sales manager for LaveyCraft and campaigns the Lavey SVL boat was partners with Morenz

I thought I remember reading (could be wrong) somewhere that they came out with a 38 model utilizing the Nu-Era design. 2 were made.Jeff

Last time I talked to them (In Nov) they were hoping to introduce the Lavey model at the LA Boat Show. You are right about a few already out there

I dont remember which mag, but around year 2000. State of the art at the time, just never heard anything else after that. Jeff

I dont know about all that but I can say that Eddie and I were pretty tight until his demise. Kevin was around alot but Eddie was always pretty much a lone soldier.

I thought that Kevin told me that they were partners but I could have misunderstood

I know they did alot of computer stuff together but who knows it was total chaos the day Eddie died around his shop. I know because I was there.
