I don't believe you are overpaying. I have reupholstered a Bullet cockpit, and the back seat structure and hatch are not one of the easiest to do. With the cabin included, you are probably in line.

Sundeck, new wood, foam, total rebuild. New snap in carpet, the bench part of the rear seat, the seat base new wood and carpet. I took out everytihing, he put the seat back in. I wanted him to make me a new cockpit cover but he was to backed up, when I came to pick up the boat he had reinforced my full cover in 3 places and it was good as new. $1700
its the little things like him fixing the cover without even asking that will keep my business there and he did a good job

I just got coaming pads made for the HArley - they are 12 inches deep, at least 30 feet of it, extra padding for the back bench backrest .....$1400. Bench seat that flips up was $900. Front has a two person high rise leaning post/seat with flip flop back rest and a three person one that slides forward or back 6 inches....each was about a grand...bolsters are around $1300-1500 unless you get real fancy

Re: $'s for labor to reupholstry cockpit??
I guess I'm lucky. I purchased the materials from a local supplier for cheap. I paid what the local marine upholstery shop pays. Saved big time. The wife made patterns for the side panels, rear seat and hatch on the computer and then printing them out actual size. It's great owning a graphics company. Now the wife is stitching it up and I'm installing it. A lot of time, but little money spent.
