Re: International truck sales???
It all depends on the dealer you are with. Will be hard to start off as senior guys will have all the good accounts. Check how long the sales guys have been there. If most are long term employees, that is a good sign. Truck experience helps alot. I sold IHC in late 80's for 2 yrs and Pete's for 12. Good luck.

You need a salary and car allowance for that to work. 1 walk in or phone call is slow. How many floor days would you have?

I'd walk away from that deal. I also wouldn't own an International. They're known for wiring problems. KW - Pete or Freightliner are top shelf. Good luck.

Hey if it were me I'd be looking to sell heavy equipment , skid steer loaders , backhoes , etc. Great market and the big players - New Holland - Case - Cat , all have excellent financing that helps you close deals. We own a large dealership and the salesman do well.

Re: International truck sales???
I buy and sell trucks regularly , updating our fleet. I talked to several people who had owned late model Internationals and they steered me away from them. This was a few years ago , problem may be fixed. I went and did a search on line and couldn't really find anything substantial. I'm sure you bought a nice truck. We primarily run Freightliners w/ 60 Series Detroits.
