Hotel Rooms for Super Bowl Race?

I am always ready for an offshore race BUT who in their right mind would have a boat race in a town with Super Bowl game on the same weekend
Should be a wild weekend with more than usual winter Florida traffic but where do you stay. The worst hotel I know of in FLL wants $348 per night. (run down Days Inn).
All the travel sites say no rooms available.
