I didn't think a 140' boat could hit 75MPH!

Forget the channel, maybe Travel channel had a show on mega yachts awhile back. They featured this superboat on the program during it's sea trial runs, it was fast but technical difficulties prevented them from hitting the high speed numbers on camera......

Guy who owns it is John Staluppi and he lives in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. The house he lives in is just as insane as the boat.

It was on the travel channel again today (1-21-07). During the sea trials, as they approched 75 MPH, the steering would fade away. Something you don't want to have anytime, big or small boat. Being jet drive, I wonder if it has rudders or do the three jet outlets move, like on a jet ski.

Last summer a B.C ferry crashed into a marina after loosing steering control. Their jet drives are pods that spin 360', the helm control does look the same as the superboat joysticks type thingy's.......

I would have to mortgage my house to fuel that thing.
