would be a good opportunity for OL to step up and make a run knowing the competition is down with no chance at a record run before the show..... marketing......

Why would one risk having a transmission with the kind of power they are using when trying to break a record? Does not sound smart to me. One more thing to break?

2 speed or 3 speed sounds like a good idea if they can handle the sudden torque load.
