Re: What deep cycle batteries are you using ?
as US1 said they are all made by Johnson control, I get the biggest deep cycle and starting battery wally world has and it runs my system (1500 watts or so) well. Plus wally world will exchange them year after year, Im going to add another amp this spring and another deep cycle from Wally world

Another tip:
Buy a fresh battery. Batteries are stamped with a date code, either on the battery's case or an attached label. The vital information is usually in the first two characters—a letter and a digit. Most codes start with the letter indicating the month: A for January, B for February, and so on. The digit denotes the year: 0 for 2000, say. For example, B3 stands for February 2003. My Duralast I just got yesterday had a round sticker 1/07. Try to buy from a place that sells alot of batteries so you will get a fresh one. Not one that has been sitting on the shelf all last yr. Granted it will still have the same warrenty as one built yesterday, but might not last as long after the warranty is out. That said, there are always those that are lemons from day 1. |
