Donziman2 already knows this but we have a never sold or registered 2000 33ZX w/500's for sale at $159,999. Someone could swing this boat with the current incentives and it would be free (no payments) for 9 months.

Donziman2, try this link for the picture, but you may have already seen it, F2 Concept sketch from this summer.

2001 26ZX, We're still around and doing well. My dad just took a new job with Johnson Controls in D.C.. It's going to keep him pretty busy for the next few years but will hopefully provide him with enough cash to keep the dealership going. I may try talking him into moving the 33ZX out East around the time of AOTH II, and combine the trips. I sure would like to get to one of the meets this year.

I've asked my dad what the upgrade cost is for the HP500's & 575SCi's, but it may take a while to get a response, due to the new job. Mercruiser MSRP prices are usually marked up 80-100%. I've always been amazed at the prices Merc. asks for their stuff.

My dad saw the real deal F2 last month, says it's pretty bad-ass. He said the boat had F16 canopies but I'm not sure if he ment they were totally enclosed or open like the picture. He also said the boat was designed go beyond 100-MPH. Last report I heard was that the boat was running 89-MPH with stock HP500's and there were more tricks to try. Donzi has contracted with a structural engineering firm to help design the F2 and other boats. My impression is that the F2 has lost a lot of weight i.r.t. it's ZX and Daytona cousins. Ofcourse the F2 will not have a finished cabin but it may also have a lighter/stronger layup and structure. I'm certain the amount of engineering and analysis Donzi has put into their F2 will make the thing fly. The best part for us though is that whatever technology they lear will certainly be transfered over into the other boats.

I am confident they will bring out a strong peice. That has been the deal all along. Come tuff or stay home. Lot of competition out there. I cannot wait. It has been a while since the Donzi logo was on the race circuit. We will see. Rick thanks alot for the info and tell your Dad hello/congrats on the new job. Maybe I need to check a price with him on my new boat. Shoot me an E-mail. Bob

That is where the Virginia Beach/HRPA folks are staying also. Hope to see all of you there. Not sure where the place is but I intend on finding it. Will also check out the A/T factory while we are there.

I own a 45ZX and it is hands down the finest quality build of any boat I have owned to date.

wow - such a deal!

Does anyone actually buy these things?

Who in their right mind would fork over $322k for a 38' Donzi.

There's a local 28' with a single 502 that only has 40 hours and it's been sitting for sale for (get this) 89K for two years now. I understand the guy spent over $100G's for this thing...

boy o boy... PT Barnum was right!

Don't get me wrong. I have nothing against Donzi's and think they're nice boats...but their prices are Astronomical.
