detecting is not interfering. Jams, that is different. Jammers are already illegal, that's an FCC thing.

All a radar detector is, is a radio, not that much different than the one in your dash. The police are voluntarily broadcasting a radio signal. All a radar detector does is listen to it, and alert you when you are in range of their broadcast.

And I just moved to Florida :rolleyes:

This all leads to the craziness they have in Canada.
- Police use radar
- drivers get radar detectors
- Radar detectors made illegal
- police get radar detector detectors to go with their radar.
- Drivers get radar detector detector detectors.......

that was a few years ago. not sure what they do up there now....

detectors are illeagal in virginia but everyone has them. you just have to be a little sly about it. How do you think I deliver everones boat quickly

This isn't about safety, it is about money. How can they get it from you easier.
