Question Good deal or keep looking??

Hello everyone,

As some of you may have noticed I have my Fountain up for sale. I really need something a little bigger to help my back b/c of my injury. I've been looking at boats to replace mine for a few months now and have found some great deals especially on here. My question is this, I received a postcard in the mail (as I'm sure a lot of you did) about a 2002 38' Profile with twin 500 efi's and amazing graphics for under 160, so is this something I should seriously consider or keep looking? It seems like a great deal but could there be a reason why? All of you have been great help in the past I know you'll steer me in the right direction!!

Help!!

I'm not up on what new boats cost in that range, but trying to learn. Also not sure how much comes off "list". But I know one person with a Profile and they're not happy with it.

I'd keep looking. Seems like for $160k, you open up a pretty large window of opportunity for choices. Not sure what that buys, probably not many 38'ers with 500's, but maybe some other choices out there.

Like, a slightly used 38 Cig vs. new Profile? I'll take the Cig. Just my o-p-p.

I like that reason for moving up. Think it'll work on my wife?

32fever,

Thanks for the input. I'm not finding much new in that range. What isn't your friend happy with?

Sean,

Anything is worth a try when it comes to bigger, badder, faster!!
