2000 30' Champion Chase with HP 500s. Low hrs. Anyone have any info on these? Construction, fit and finish, durability, handling, speeds, problems? Posting for a friend who is looking at one in Upstate NY.
Thanks

saw one the other month.
Ken,
I saw one of these the other month at a boat auction in NJ. I had never heard of one either, but the Campion (no H) Chase is made in canada, and the one i saw had twin hp 500s i think, with imco drives, thru hull exhaust, and external steering. K planes too, probably 280s from the looks of them....all other rigging seemed top notch from the cleats to the gauges to the cockpit finishing. the one in NJ was a 2000, i believe, and went for 46, 000......i was pretty impressed with the thing. Wouldnt be surprised if this very boat made the trek up to upstate NY, with the new owner trying to turn a quick profit. Check the title to see if the owners name is on it and for how long. If i recall it had mild blue\purple graphics, but dont quote me on this......

Yep, 46k looked like a damn fine deal. theres a few on boattrader, none that cheap. Forgot 1 other thing, theyre layed up with a kevlar reinforce laminate.........I did the research after being impressed with the boat, but doesnt look like you can go wrong with a deal like that.......

It was for sale at the auction i went to a month or so ago. 46k was the strike price. Some guy took home a good deal, which is why i wont be surprised if it turns up for 60k or so somewhere. I wasnt familiar with the boat when i saw it. I could have swung that DP as well..........F#CKing 20/20 hindsight...........
