Take your wife too. If something happens to either one of you you need to have back up. AND don't forget about the tow vehicle, trailer etc..... unless you are going to dry stack. Then you might as well do a bowrider...
Get the biggest bumpers you can carry, don't skimp on the "lines" and I DONT mean laundry or ski rope.

Honestly though, its alot of homework,,,, check out the insurance rates of each hull and engines,,,,,

If you are in CA, I would not buy an Activator, Superboat, Kryptonite, or any of the custom Long Island boats. They are excellent boats, but once you've had it for a year and are ready to upgrade, as we all do....you'll be stuck and will have a tough time selling one on the West Coast. Buy an Eliminator, Nordic, DCB, Ultra, or one of the other West Coat boats. For the money you're talking, you can pretty much take your pick. A Cigarette, Formula, or Fountain would also be great boats no matter where you live.

I ran with this pantera last year.It handled big water pretty well.I think he's selling it because I procharged my sonic .But seriously I think it would be worth checking out. Trevor
