PS. If you plan on living at the lake, my good friend is opening up a major subdivision there in April. Make sure you call me first if you want to view it;)

Nice lake. Been there a few times but never with the boat. Talk to Creedo He took the fountain there a couple of years ago and had a blast.

Lived in Abilene, 1982-1990, not a lot to do there, Ft. Phantom lake is outside of town, but I'm afraid it might be too small for the 42. We always went to PK or Brownwood lake.

PK, on the other hand, is AWESOME! I love it there, the views are incredible! Your 42 will be right at home there.

I find this very hard to believe. Texoma is 2.5 times the size of PK with huge mainspans and I still have problems with almost eating jet skiers and bass boats in my 24ft powerboat. I couldn't imagine how dangerous it would be on PK with a 42 Fountain flying around on a holiday going "as fast as you want." Just my .02

The water is hard as hell there! Took a ton of Zing to get all my stainless clean. Other than that, pretty nice lake.
42 foot of boat is gonna be pretty big there, but not too big.
I went there last year for a Baja poker run. Had a good time. Hells Gate is pretty neat. It is nothing like the MO lakes I'm used to, but close enough for Texas.

we love Pk. there are some straight stretches where you could open it up. And early mornings you can run several miles around the s curves of the river like lake.there is not really a resturaunt or bar scene.. We never miss the July 4 weekend big tie up, fireworks off the top of hells gate, and usually a live band set up on the shore of the closest house in the cove to the tie-up. One thing to know is that the law enforcement is more present on PK than any other place .ive been. They seem to not hassle the bigger boats that are tied up and stay all nite.

I know of at least two 42 Fountains on PK and at least 3 Top Guns. There is also a couple of 38's and some 35 fountains.Your 42 will fit just fine. When you get there look us up at the gate.I have a place over on the west side.
