How to add Performance to #6 Speedmaster Prop?
 

have heard even a speedmaster prop can be tweaked to add speed. I believe they are labbed from the factory on a 5 blade, What can be done to them to gain the 2-4 mph I'm hearing from prop professionals?

Even though the Mercury Speedmaster props are called "lab finished" they have some serious issues. Typically all the sets have the same issues and need quite a bit of work to bring them to what I would call "lab finished".

There can be performance improvements to the Merc Speedmaster props. To know for sure they need to be diagnosed, analyze your current performance and then go from there.
