Well.I live in N.Y. so manatees are not a problem.
Although there was one 1/2 way up the Hudson last
year. ???? I still like Jimmys music. Its summer
boatin tunes. Can't beat a Pirate looks at
40 with Mack Mackanelli playin the guitar.

No manatees there, but when you come to boat in Fl, YOU'LL suffer some of Stuff-IT's BS Manatee propagands @ work. So I guess if the powers to be, want to pass a new 25 mph speed limit on Lake George, and since we don't live there, taking your approach, I could care less! See, it affects all of us, one way or another.

I think Buffett's music is okay... He ain't Don Henley or Bob Marley...but he makes nice little ditties.
To the point....
He is also an author and currently/recently wrote a great book called "A salty piece of land"..... in it there is no doubt that he is very pro sailboat and anti "Cigarette boat". In fact he has one of his characters, a 90 year old woman take a rifle and shoot at a fictional high performance "go fast" boat. The boat was complete with a bling wearing, pot bellied, party animal owner who was seemingly oblivious to rules of the road and courtesy...........
Hmmm.....
Come to think of it....... hand me the gun.

We just got back from St. Marten. It was funny to see this thread. We went to anguilla for the day by boat, the sand was like baby powder. Heard fromn a friend that was at the concert that it was a little crowded and super hot. Had a great time there, looking at your pictures makes want to go back already.

We just don't pay any attention to it.
Seriously though, I understand what your saying.
I don't know what all the laws about mantatees are
and how they affect boating, but I'm sure its probably
a PITA for boaters. Still, music is a matter of personal
tastes, and I like the stories Jimmy tells with his music.
I don't know him personally and if I did I may or may not
like him,but either way it wouldn't change my mind
about his music.

And yes , I would think it's fair to call a 7 MILE IDLE thru a HUGE Manatee zone, to the Atlantic, a PITA.
Especially, since there is really no scienctific data that shows the Manatee Zones really work.
And I too, used to like Stuff-it's music, until I moved to Fl and found out what a hypocrite he is!
I still remember the night we took all of our Stuff-it CDs and torched them @ the TIKI Bar!!
TGIF,
Dean
BTW,
DJD, sorry I hijacked your thread about your GREAT vacation. This will be my last post here.
