Um... 9 posts, choice between 3 different boats, mention of wire money, mention of USD (duh), made final decision in a few hours based on opinions here, and now looking for a deal.

Gonna have to throw up a flag on this one.

I have seen you post in multiple sections asking about all different kinds of boats.

You asked about the Donzi versus Baja. One is stepped, one is stright Deep V. Have you ridden in both, which do you like better, they have a completely different ride feel. Baja has higher gunwales, Donzi looks more streamlined. Do you have family who would appreciate the safety of the higher gunwales? With the same engine, the Baja will be slower than the Donzi based on hull design, is speed important to you? You want to buy new. Why? This is your first boat, and you want to take the depreciatation hit already, do you know how to dock it and not scratch it up? .

It sounds like you are excited, which is great, but you are setting yourself up for failure, I don't care how good of a deal you are getting, it will be there in a month.

Did you know some boats have windshield versus windscreens for more adequate wind protection? Did you know some swimsteps integrated versus bolton count if in additional footage for insurance, storage, and slipping? Did you know whch you enegine you choose could adversely affect your insurance premiums? Where is your dealer, local, good quality customer service? With a new boat, you are going to be a dealers best friend, not fun if they are 3 hours from you.

Slow down, tell us alittle about how, where, when, and who you boat with, and we can help you. But you are making a mistake going back and forth, asking for opinions from biased owners, then willing to send a check out today.

Sorry for the rant, no offense, but I am really trying to help you not make a mistake, IRRELEVANT of which boat you choose in the end.

thanks alot friend you really seemed to be a good help to me beside all the other wise wannabe's the thing is i already have a 44 sea ray for my family believe me my searay dealer is dying to sell me the baja 26 outlaw but i hate to stay confused for days which always happens to me and it feels worse then loosing 100 g the hint i can give you is i am gonna use this boat down in europe meditereninan prety rough and salty waters most of the time and i really like to speed on the sea it will be my toy beside the 44 sea ray andi am pretty sure my wife will always sit on the sea ray:) please still halin help me out here i already arrange the transport from us to europe

Ok, the wife is German so I know about Euros (I think LOL).

The med is big seas, im my opinion, a deeper V (Outlaw 26) is going to benefit you more than a stepped boat (Donzi). Stepped boats can be dangerous if not driven correctly. Deep V have a HUGE margin for error. But don't discount other manufacturers and models either.

Saltwater, you would proabably want to stay away from boats with a 454 or 502 mag as they are raw water cooling. The 496 or 496HO's are closed cooling, will last longer in the salt environment. Consdier a 525 EFI, expensive, and I think raw water, but the speed for either of those boats will make you happy.

I would probably say go with a windscreen versus a windshield, as you have more of a feel for whats in front of you without a windhsield

Sounds like you can get a good deal on the Baja, as Sea Ray and Baja are both owned by Brunswick marine. That doesn't mean to do it, just means you might have to work harder if you choose another manufacturer.

Are you limted to 26 or 27'?

Insurance and storage a concern?

Don't really know how we can help you, sounds like you already bought a boat "money wired" and arranged to have it shiped back.

I would go with the 29 Fountain simply becuase I think that ten-twenty years down the road the fountain is going to look better than the Donzi. If you don't believe me just take a look at some 1985-1992 fountains and compare to the same age of a Donzi or a Baja, just my .02.
