Acceptable Moisture Levels?

I had a survey done on my boat in November of 2006, the boat sat in the water at her slip, the same slip she spent the entire summer in, I just purchased it so I got a survey done.

Absolutely no rot was found, but for a boat that has been exposed outside to the elements, and sitting in the water, what are acceptable moisture levels and by how much should I see them drop since it sat in heated indoor storage all winter, with a dehumidifier running?

The boat is a 1985 Wellcraft Scarab 400. It was repowered by the previous owner some 50 hours ago, and the exhausts were redone as well as the trannys, so I know there are no issues with the transom.

different meters will give different results, also bottom paint can cause false positives, i would look for rot around fittings and exhaust tips on transom, if boat is out of water for several days a moisture of 5 to 7% would be good, any higher might mean a problem
