I live about 15 minutes from Mead. It does get windy and the locals say the "waves get real big". I guess if you have a low free board, flat bottom lake boat they do. I have yet to see anything that gets even close to ocean boating (I lived in So Cal for 20 years). When the winds kick up now I think "let's go boating!" :D
Property is pretty cheap here. I'm about 25 miles from the middle of Vegas, where my shop is. PM me if you'd like more info. |
lake mead
Been boating Lake Mead 10 years now and love it. Very rarely seen any waves we couldn't handle safely. Had a slip for a year at Havasu and loved it also. Havasu has more hot boats there at any given time than Mead. Not to mention great looking Ladies. I must agree it's seems to be a younger crowd at Havasu. But we like to have our houseboat slipped at the Marina with our fast boat slipped next to it with all the shore power and water.. Thats not an option at Havasu. Lake Mead is a great lake and alot of really cool people boat there.

Thanks for the information.
BajaFresh, The last time I was in Las Vegas, I remember driving through Henderson. Dont remember what took me there. I think it was when I got lost looking for Red Rock Canyon. My Streets and Trips program took me from Vegas to Red Rock via Alaska. Man was I lost and just about out of gas. If my memory is correct, I ended up in a place called Mt Charleston. |
