Anyone know the story on this boat? Why it hasn't sold in 18 months?

My best estimation: 1) I know the boat is absolutly immaculate and gorgeous as it was done by Mark Mcmanus who will only do things one way, the best way. 2) The owner spent a small fortune to make the boat correct in every detail as a museum ground up resto. 3) My estimation is the reason for not selling so fast is the Volvo original drives.

Most people on offshore only are into the latest stuff, which would be Merc Bravo`s and maybe 377 scorpion pkg. but then the boat is not an original. this boat is for someone who remembers the good old days, and is not all wound up about speed, she would make a great lake boat for someone. and Like Don Aronow told me one time the 27` sport was the best looking design he ever did, and that goes for many people from the era. the boat is a true legend in every way and a steal at the asking dollars. A new one comming out with single 700 merc. is going to run you close to $300,000, and will be sold to a very select few collectors who knew them for what they were. Hope this helps, I was director of Hi-performance and Gen.Mgr. for magnum and the one who started the Magnum Owners club, stay tuned for an exciting announcement from Magnum and myself.
