Silent choice on 500 EFI motors
Hey Everyone,
I wondered if any one had an opinion on if it was ok to use silent choice exhaust divertors on my boat or if you would remove them do to the possibility of reversion problems. Here are the new specs below:
1984 Scarab
TRS Drives
Velvet Transmissions
Twin 496 BBC ( old 454 stroked .250 with 6.385 Rod)
9 - 1 CR
Stock Rect. Port Steel heads
500 EFI camshafts
Custom Marine E-Tops with Aprox. 20" from center of riser inlet to where water and exhaust mix.
The boat had Rex Marine manifolds and pipes with 4" silent choice right at the transom. I just did not know if I should get rid of the silent choice before running the new engine package
Thanks

My boat came with them from the factory with a 500EFI. Built 540's at 9.7 and am still going to run them (first run will be as soon as it stops raining on the weekends!!!)
