They usually are required - not sure why none were worn in this video.

very true. They help you develop an escape plan and a method for dealing with the potentials of having a boat go over. I learned alot from that test thats for sure. Those guys are the best (the safety guys in all the organizations).

We've had to go in full gear every time we took the test. Vests and i think i even wore my street shoes once.

How would ya like to swim down and out against the floatation of the vest with it on.I bet thats tuff:eek:

What kind of vests are used? I thought the manual, suspender style was used which is activated only after reaching the surface. Would not want to fight a lifeline to get out of the water-filled cockpit.
