You can have my teak one for free. Hate to see it get thrown out and refuse to keep it in my garage since I bought this aluminum one. All you need to do is pay shipping from Florida.

Thanks for the quick follow up posts guys. My Excel doesn't have any teak on it, so I want to find a tubular type to give it a more updated look.
Just for yucks, I thought you might appreciate what could have been a complete and total catastrophic failure if the integrity of the transom was any question.
The starboard side of the platform that wrapped around the hull was the starting point of the entire loss. I've heard of at least one other Scarab with a similar design losing his platform the same way.
Caulk and screws on the side = bad design.

Here's the "before", note the platform wrapped around the hull, facing oncoming water and waves. In flat water, no problem. In heavy waves, problem.
