Try ebay. "Speed4u" has been selling a number of them from $500-$800. I just got one for $700..freight was $200. Getting it repowder coated which is a bit pricey since they need to strip the old stuff off. All in all, should be able to get a used one with new powder coat for about $1100....which is better than the alternative ($2000).

Yougot a link to the old auction? I tried to find him on ebay, but he doesn't show up. I can add him to my watch list if I can get a link to old auction.

Thanks for heads up.

Jeff

I would think stripping it would be pretty cheap - sand blast, clean, re-coat.
Pretty cheap process.

Sandblasting a well done powdercoat job is not feasible. You will damage the piece before you get it all off. You need to soak the piece in aircraft stripper solvent to get the PC off.

Didn't realize that.
I work in vacuum coatings for optics, all the tooling is stainless, and we have a large sandblaster to clean the tooling. This stuff is tough to get off. But it is a much thinner coat (i'm talking nano's).
Maybe because it's stainless, and probably quite a bit thicker than what the walls of the tube would be.
Thanks for pointing that out.
