Like Traci said Great Lakes is in Muskegon Michigan and is the hub of Go fast boating in West Michigan (imho) its been the host of many Poker runs,Offshore races and even a kilo record attempt back a few years ago by Dave Scott and his boat Bacardi Silver that was called for fog.The place is known for its fair and ethical business practices and that is rare in this industry, if the sale happens they will be missed.

That would be a bummer if they sell. :(

Just remember you always have the Wharf Marina for the go fast boats!!:D

the wharf marina? now thats a stable....LOL

dyno 04-26-2007 04:21 PM

Thats going to take a few good years for the Warf to clear there name.......too bad.

The wharf has actually been home to a large portion of the offshore boats in the community at least a dozen come to mind. They have always taken very good care of their customers and with the new management it should be even better. It wont take years for them to get a good name they already have one.

That kilo run was great, right up until they called it off. dyno and his lovely wife were kind enough to volunteer to host me and Mrs DR, and were a patrol boat so we got an extra close look (and dyno got to play policeman, which I think he enjoyed a little too much! :D)
