CASH.

The Donzi is running a prototype FlexiDrive made by Flixitab.... It's a not the prettiest thing to look but it's a tank....the drive did not break once last year after only finishing 4 out of the 8 races in 2005 due to Merc drives breaking in the big water... (something OL has quickly found out)

Lamens way to explain it would be a hybrid surface drive with a rutter
I can tell you that the rudder has not hurt their ability to turn one bit and they nailed their X and factory set up so close that the boats flying, re-entry and overall handling characteristics did not change one bit ...

Check out the OSG Donzi video on the homepage of http://www.donzimarine.com/
to see it in action.

Thanks for the link. That video ROCKS !!! What a rooster that mother throws.

Guess I will put some pennies together and go catch a race over there sometime.

38, do you still feel a kindred connection to that boat?

I think the reliability factor is phenomenal, maintenance non existent, but other than race boats and very, very hard core poker runners I believe that the market in the US would be very limited.

Flexitab began making these components for some of the most famous teams participating the Offshore Class 1 World Championships such as the Spirit of Norway, Victory Team etc... they have come along way to now scratching the surface of what we would consider consumer product...OSG, Donzi and Flexitab have been/are using P1 competition to test and experiment the possibilities...

I would highly encourage you to go see what it's all about, it's a Hellu-Va good time and seeing the spectacle that it is over there..... well worth the troubles of traveling.

I do very much for many reasons, and have already made arrangements to have the boat shipped back once it gets tired of winning championships... Not looking like anytime soon

With the 38 ZRC's new running surface & 700's (115mph) that would be one friggin awesome and reliable package...
