Default Working on new projects. And some tech tips

I have been asked to dig into these Power Control Modules since many industry people know what I do for repairs on ECM s and PCM s. These power control modules have been failing in the marine industry hugely. They are installed in certain boats from the OEM boat manus. Anyways for one they are not sealed very good for the marine environment. 2 is they hate heat. 3 is they hate voltage and voltage charging spikes. Also other things is vibration as well and condensation causing the failures. They are not waterproof at all ZERO for that end of it period.

If you have any sort of power control module management system like these --- Mount rubber isolators on the back side so you can space them off the bulkhead mount. Air is needed on the back side of these and helps heat to escape. Also keep away for any water source. Also it is best to charge your battery with it completely UNHOOKED. That goes for all batteries.

Pics below and the last 2 pics are the damage as to why

nothing on the boat works including nothing works on the engine side either. Everything is completely dead.
