WD40 takes off the sticker residue... this is what Formula recommends for their boats, when you take off the shrink wrap tape.

It's called a "Stripe off" wheel. I used one of those, along with a can of the 3M adhesive remover on my Dad's boat last year.

Took about 100 feet of 1" stripe off with it. Worked great.

Just used an eraser from 3M on my decals. Removed all the decals and glue reisdue in about 20 minutes
