Lake Mead Memorial Day
Never been there, but I'm thinking of heading out tomorrow night (from LA). Weather looks HOT!! We'll stay on the boat of course.
Anyone else going?
What's it like out there on Memorial Day?
Any good places to eat and drink on the lake?
Where's the place to launch and fuel?
Where's the good anchorages?
Anyone else going?

Been nice (75) but supposed to be high 90's by weekend.

I'll be at Havasu Fri-Sat but may be back on Mead Sunday.

Not like Havasu!

No! Bring your own.

Fuel up at Rebel in Boulder City, not on the lake. I launch at Hemminway (closest to boulder) but they are all pretty flat ramps now. I have to back the truck all the way into the water (6" lift keeps water out of cab! ) but it's fresh water, not salt.

We go to swallow & sandy cove, wishing well in the narrows. Not sure how much will be going on over the weekend but Mead is not like Havasu. Other than the marina's (which are very low key) there is nothing on the lake but rocks and sand. Great for a peaceful quiet weekend but not so good if you want a party.

You can get a guest tie up at the marina's so you can leave the boat in overnight.
