Procharger Info
Anyone install a Procharger Intercooled 5psi on 7.4 MPI engine ?? They (Procharger) state this motor is a good candidate for the Procharger. With it's low compression. Producing large % gains with relatively low boost levels. Increase in crankshaft power from 340 h.p. to 500h.p. or 560 with 7psi. Anyone agree/disagree. Would love feedback from experience with the 5 psi set up. Thanks

Drives
If you like changing your drive out every weekend, go ahead and do it. You will be producing to much torque for a standard Bravo 1 drive. I was changing my starboard side drive out every other weekend. It got to be a pain in the a--. Finally brought two 500 efi's . Turn the keys and go.

The 454 mags are good candidates...the mpi's have cast internals and won't last very long. (and the numbers your quoting are for the mag motors too.....the mpi's are 75 HP less)

Don't have the dough for (2) 500's. I see used going for around $20000.00ea with headers. What opinions on new 496 mag h.o.'s.(425h.p.) turn key drop ins?? Thanks for all you input.

380 Avenger. Had stock 502's. Put the pro-chargers on them, boat ran 87 mph on radar gun. Got tried of changing the drives and listing to the belt whine so I brought a pair of 500 efi's and put them in the boat. Now it runs 82 mph with me and the wife and a 1/4 tank of gas. Now its all about looking good and not racing eveyone every weekend. I must be getting older.

It's a 29 Enticer. Don't know anyone with much bigger pwr with this boat. Some say it can't handle more pwr. I don't believe that is true unless someone can prove me wrong with actual experience. I would like to get into the low to mid 70's gps
