I have a Fountain 38te and have owned a 36 Concept and looked hard and sea trialed the 35 and 38 Donzi center console. All 3 are nice boats with the Fountain being the biggest overall and the Donzi's next with the Concept the smallest. The Fountain is a big big boat and is designed more toward the fishing SKA tournament crowd. However I find it very comfortable for me even though I do not go Kingfishing.
If you are looking for more of the go-fast lines and style the Fountain does not have this look as much as the Concept has. It is an extremely stout and fast boat with quad 300's it will go 87mph. My triple 275 Verado version will go 73mph.
Pick up the latest Boating magazine. They test 4 big CC's and the Fountain and Donzi are in this test. Fountain had the best fuel mileage and was the fastest and has the widest beam.

Depends on what you are look to do on the boat? Hang out? Fishing? Little of all? Cabin and creature comforts?
I am a Concept fan, however depending on what you are looking for depends on what you are better off with..

Mark,
Can you post some pictures of your boat? What speeds have you managed with the the 300xs? I just watched the 32 video on the Concept website it looks nice. I used to have a Concept 22 over ten years ago here in Tampa before there was any dealers here. Mike

the fountain prevails in all catagories. i say this from a mechanical. structural, rigging, speed , agility, and consumer friendly standpoint. as stated beam, length and gunnel height are a plus..
i have had a concept, fountain and donzi in the waters off longisland, which are some of tyhe roughest in the country and the fountain has it.
2 weeks ago i brought a client for a 40 knot cruise in 4 footers like it was a walk in the park.
good luck in your search.
