I know Overton`s has plenty of this stuff. Look in the PWC section. |
I agree. I like to clip mine thru my cooler, around my water bong and loop it through my bag. Therefore if I get ejected, my boat stops and my supply is saved.

You don't have to have a D-clip to attach the lanyard to a pair of shorts.
Pick up a small carabiner as pictured below (less the compass), and hook the carabiner over the waistband or over the edge of your leg opening on your shorts. It works perfect. Another story............. two years ago I was with my 11 year old son in our 20' center console, I was teaching him basic driving skills, him at the wheel, just barely at planing speeds - with me right beside him, hand on the throttle. He got a little overzealous with the wheel, we got a little sideways. No harm, no foul, but it made me vow that lanyard (yes, I was wearing it) would always be worn while under way, NO excuses.

how do you retro an older boat that does not have a lanyard?
Can someone show a link to a kit or install? All you need to do is buy the Mercury Kit. www.bammarine.com has them, as well as your local dealer. Its a simple install. All you do is install the Kill Switch into your Ignition Power On wire. (Not your Start wire.) |
...but I have a snug fitting elastic wrist band that is connected to my cord and is always right there hanging on my ignition. Takes but a split second to slip it on over my wrist and doesn't effect my movement Hey Vype, heard you were back in the Russian mother land? When you getting back? Gonna make the raftup at the Cove Saturday for Harborfest?...;) |
