Default One Time Foes Now Good Friends! Powerboat vs. Sailboats

Since the fall of the Berlin Wall has there not been such an amazing UNIFICATION! Can you guess what it is??

1) Dave P. & Ron P. are spending Christmas Dinner Together?
2) Dave P. & Kurt B. are going offshore racing together?
3) The Israelis & Palestinians are going to sign a Peace Treaty?
4) The NJ Sailing organization Barnegat Bay Yacht Racing Association added NJ Performance Powerboat Club to their boat links page on their website?

The answer is #4!!!!!! The one time organization that we faced off with over the proposed speed limits several years ago have added www.njppc.com to their website www.bbyra.org !

This move by the BBYRA was totally unsolicited by NJ Performance Powerboat Club. We have even tracked a few BBYRA website visitors to www.njppc.com to take a peak! To see the link on their links page, visit their website at www.bbyra.org/links.shtml .

We will be returning the gesture very soon and will proudly display their website and logo on the NJPPC site!

Can you believe it? Powerboaters and Sailors Getting Along! Woooow!

Funny you should mention this. There is an article in Motor Boating this month about how long time sailors are turning to powerboats. I think there may be more cross-over than many people care to admit. I've always loved powerboating, and could never really get into sailing, except I have to admit those little Sunfish sail boats they have at resorts are a blast if you get them in a stiff wind and some waves (especially ocean waves). I've had them get air before.
