It is a single gear Ford C-6. I had one rebuilt, the input shaft clearanced, and an extra cluth plate installed. As I recall, it was about $1350 to have it done. The BW transmission will require the engine to be moved forward.

Here are some parts out of the Merc transmission they took out when mine was rebuilt. Does it look like it needed it? :)

Btw, Merc didn't discontinue the Trs drive because it was a bad drive, they did it because Bravo's cost less to produce.

The original post asked asked about a 'MercTrans". NEVER ASKED ANYTHING ABOUT THE BW TRANS USED WITH THE LATER TRS.

i have a merc tran that was rebuilt about 5 years ago , should have a going through. selling my 28 cig and don't need it any more. sent me a private message with phone# if interested
